Carrier questions
Which shipping lines call the Port of Savannah?
Every major container line calls Savannah, either on its own ships or with space on a partner's. This page lists each line in GPA's current schedule, with its number of upcoming calls, services and ships.
What are the shipping alliances at Savannah?
The Gemini Cooperation (Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd), the Ocean Alliance (CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen and OOCL) and the Premier Alliance (ONE, HMM and Yang Ming). MSC runs its own network, and lines such as ZIM, Seaboard Marine and Turkon run services or buy space on others.
Why does a carrier show calls on ships it does not operate?
Lines share ships through alliances and slot agreements. A carrier's page counts every Savannah call where GPA lists it as a booking line, and shows how many are on its own ships.
